Flames appear around Xel's body after being shot out from his mouth to envelope him. Concentrations of flames can be focused on certain parts of the body (more flames on the legs than anywhere else on the body). The flames are a bright red and orange color, slightly off from the normal orange and yellow hue of fire. 

skill

Simply put Xel is capable of focusing his fire release techniques to coat his body in flames. The flames don't really add protection except for being hot (fire is hot), but the aspect of the armor is to amplify the speed, power, and destructive force of Xel's taijutsu techniques. The flames can produce a massively destructive force thanks to Xel's amplifying chakra. The speed of his techniques are amplified thanks to the propulsion the flames exhibit at the bottoms of his feet and on his back and arms (sort of like a jet-pack effect).

Supplemental general skill ninjutsu, Xel's version of the Body Flicker Technique. He moves quickly at almost untraceable speed after disappearing in the flames that seem to burn him to nothing.
